Here at Buster, we advise homeowners to regularly clean sinks, baths and showers. Incorporating these tasks into your routine house work will ensure plugholes remain unblocked and odour–free.
One job that must also be undertaken when cleaning the shower is removing any lime scale that might have built up in the shower head. Because water is running through it every day, calcium and other mineral deposits can accumulate, blocking the holes and causing the shower to spray unevenly.
But just how do you remove lime scale from a shower head?
While there are a number of chemical cleaners on the market, you could first try using white vinegar for the job.
Make sure that the area of the shower head you want to clean is covered with the vinegar. Leave it like this for a few hours and then run hot water through the shower to blast away the debris.
This will all be worth it when, at the end of a long day, you can relax in a nice, clean shower and enjoy the invigorating spray coming from your sparkling shower head.
